Class Structure

 
 

4-7 years

Connect

First part of class begins with check-ins. A time for students to share any thoughts, feelings or stories with their classmates. Usually we will begin with a theme, like courage, fear or empathy and use that to help guide their responses.

Music and Props

We know how hectic kiddos lives are so we encourage self expression through dance and play. They groove and shake to music and get the wiggles out.

Breathwork

As we begin our practice, we prepare our minds and bodies for our yoga practice through breathing exercises. Teaching different breathing techniques that they can use on and off the mat. 

Yoga

In the style of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, this is where a good chunk of our time will be spent. Through the use of creative imagery, we take students through a flow that will be fun and engaging. Building on balance, focus, posture and strength. Waging their tails on a down dog, and mooing and purring on their cat and cows.

Meditation

We will culminate every class with a guided meditation and silent respite. And always allowing time for open discussion for any revelations, thoughts, or shares, while we’re coloring or writing in our journals. The little kiddos love this zen time!

 

tween

8-12 years

13-17 years
